Walk with a Doc (WWAD) is a nonprofit founded in 2005 by a cardiologist to inspire communities through movement and conversation. We collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers around the world to launch walking programs in their communities. We currently have 538 “chapters” across 34 countries, each one hosting walks at least once per month. All walk events are free and open to the public, and many of the walks take place in underserved and/or rural communities. Our goal is to help people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds take a STEP toward better health by providing a safe and fun opportunity for the following: Physical Activity, Health Education, Social Connection, and Time in Nature.
