Dr. Sara Johnson is triple board certified in Emergency Medicine, Preventive Medicine and Public Health, and Lifestyle Medicine. Her work as an emergency physician in one of the nation’s largest safety net hospitals allowed her to experience the epidemic of chronic disease faced by our country. This sparked a pursuit of more effective, evidence-based therapies for chronic disease, and she discovered the fields of preventive medicine and lifestyle medicine. She is one of only a handful of physicians in the nation to have completed a Lifestyle Medicine Intensivist Fellowship. Dr. Johnson has a passion for education evidenced through her prior role as assistant program director and faculty editor for the Lifestyle Medicine Residency Curriculum. Dr. Johnson is co-principal investigator of a multi-year knowledge translation research project at Loma Linda University Health to create a plant-based therapeutic disease-reversal inpatient menu for the institution.
