Dr. Berman trained in physical therapy (McGill), medicine (Yale) and primary-care internal medicine and population medicine (Harvard’s Brigham & Women’s Hospital). He completed a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship at UCSF and spent time at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation working on obesity prevention policy. Obesity and lifestyle medicine, along with an interest in health information technology and behavior change, have been his focus since medical school. He is currently Director of Lifestyle Medicine at One Medical Group, VP of Health at Mark One Lifestyle Inc. (not named after me, really!) and a director of the ACLM Board since 2013. Mark was born in South Africa, grew up in Canada and now lives and practices Lifestyle Medicine in San Francisco, CA. He is passionate about plant-based diets, active living and creating positive change in the world.
