Dr. Collings is Immediate-Past President of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). She is Chief Medical Officer for Healthfleet which connects evidence-based lifestyle curriculum with expert human-powered coaching providing digital chronic disease solutions to employers and health providers.
Dr. Collings has board certifications in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Lifestyle Medicine. She holds a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, as well as professional culinary and coaching certifications. She received her education from the University of California, University of Wisconsin, and Stanford University Medical Center and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Collings has over 30 years’ experience as a general, invasive, and imaging cardiologist at El Camino Health in Silicon Valley of the SF Bay area. While there, she served in multiple leadership positions including as founding Medical Director of the Cardiopulmonary Wellness Center, founding Director of the Lifestyle Medicine service line, and in Women’s Heart initiatives. As ACLM past president and in her continuing role on the Board of Directors, she is focused on guiding lifestyle medicine into mainstream medicine, and scaling programs and practitioners nationwide. She has a keen interest in positioning lifestyle medicine as the foundational solution to address chronic disease in clinical settings, digital health applications, and within value-based contracts and population health initiatives. Dr. Collings serves as an American Medical Association delegate for the field of lifestyle medicine. She serves in other nonprofit board and advisory positions including with the Physical Activity Alliance, and the Global Positive Health Institute.
Dr. Collings advocates for plant-based culinary education to achieve human, planetary, and animal health and wellbeing. As a passionate patient and physician advocate, she views physician well-being achieved through professional lifestyle medicine education and personal lifestyle as the secret sauce to facilitate patient health and healing. Dr. Collings participates in many active sports including cycling, tennis, and skiing. Living along the central coast of California, she volunteers at Flag Ranch Sanctuary which provides equine facilitated experiences, connecting horses and humans for mutual healing.
