Deepa Sannidhi, MD is a board-certified family medicine physician, practicing obesity and lifestyle medicine at UC San Diego Health.
Trained in Preventive Medicine, with certifications in Lifestyle Medicine and Obesity Medicine, she directs the UC San Diego Supervised Lifestyle and Integrative Medicine (SLIM) Program which provides evidence-based intensive lifestyle intervention for people with obesity and provides integrated lifestyle medicine care.
She is an Associate Clinical Professor at UC San Diego Department of Family Medicine and the Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health. She is Assistant Program Director of the UCSD/SDSU General Preventive Medicine Residency. Dr. Sannidhi enjoys teaching residents and students at UC San Diego School about lifestyle medicine, nutrition, obesity and mindfulness. She is principal investigator on multiple studies evaluating the feasibility and effectiveness of the SLIM program.
Dr. Sannidhi is married to her high school sweetheart and they have a young daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys eating at healthy restaurants and finding new ways to cook healthy and delicious food.
