ACLM and Content with Purpose announce new digital series

The Blueprint: Scaling the New Standard of Care will feature expert interviews and real-world case studies exploring how organizations nationwide are addressing the root causes of chronic disease through evidence-based lifestyle interventions.

The American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and Content With Purpose (CWP) have announced a new partnership to create The Blueprint: Scaling the New Standard of Care, an ambitious digital series exploring how lifestyle medicine is transforming healthcare systems across the United States.

Healthcare is facing a defining moment. Rising rates of cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, obesity, and mental health challenges are placing increasing pressure on health systems, employers, public health agencies, and communities nationwide.

Against this backdrop, a growing body of evidence is demonstrating that lifestyle medicine can help treat, reverse and prevent many chronic conditions by addressing their underlying causes. Momentum is building as organizations across the healthcare ecosystem move beyond pilot programs and integrate these approaches into care delivery, workforce development, public health initiatives, and population health strategies.

Through cinematic storytelling, expert interviews, and real-world case studies, The Blueprint will document how this transformation is already underway, and bring together a diverse range of organizations helping shape the future of healthcare. The series will explore how health systems are redesigning care delivery, insurers and payers are advancing high-value value-based approaches to prevention and chronic disease management, universities are training the future healthcare workforce, employers are investing in workforce well-being, and public health agencies and state-level initiatives are expanding access to community-based models of care. Together, these organizations are helping drive a broader shift toward more connected, preventive, and sustainable healthcare systems.

The series will also highlight the growing infrastructure supporting lifestyle medicine at scale – from primary care integration and interprofessional care teams to medical education, residency training, group and shared medical appointments, reimbursement innovation, and community health partnerships.

Grounded in examples from the six pillars of lifestyle medicine – optimal nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, connectedness, and risky substance avoidance – the series will showcase how practical, evidence-based lifestyle interventions are being embedded into everyday practice, and demonstrate how lifestyle medicine is emerging as the foundation of high-value, whole-person care.

ACLM CEO John Findley, MD, CPE, said: “Lifestyle medicine is redefining what is possible in healthcare. Across the country, clinicians, health systems, employers, educators, and public health leaders are demonstrating that better outcomes, lower costs, and improved quality of life can be achieved by addressing the root causes of chronic disease. Through The Blueprint, we look forward to showcasing the people and organizations leading this transformation and sharing practical examples of how lifestyle medicine is becoming the new standard of care.”

Founder and Managing Director of CWP Max Smith said: “Healthcare is increasingly moving upstream – from managing disease to restoring health. What excites us about this series is the opportunity to document some of the remarkable work already underway to integrate lifestyle medicine into healthcare systems at scale. The Blueprint will help share those stories, inspire collaboration, and accelerate the adoption of approaches that are transforming healthcare.”

The new series builds on the success of Project Remission: A Lifestyle Medicine Approach to Type 2 Diabetes, launched by ACLM and CWP in 2026. The Blueprint will expand the conversation from one condition to the broader transformation of healthcare systems and the growing adoption of lifestyle medicine across clinical care, medical education, public health, workforce development, and community health infrastructure.

The Blueprint will launch in April 2027, followed by strong visibility during Lifestyle Medicine Week in May 2027. Supported by an extensive digital marketing and communications campaign, the series will engage clinicians, healthcare leaders, educators, policymakers, employers, public health professionals, and wider public audiences – driving awareness, collaboration, and action at a pivotal moment for the future of healthcare.
